What's it for ?
The Organization Validation (OV) certificate establishes a higher level of trust than domain validation certificates because they not only verify a website’s domain, but also validate the owner’s information and confirm the existence of the company.
Once obtained, web visitors will see a green padlock in the browser’s address bar.
Who can request it?
A natural person acting on behalf of and representing a legal person with whom a contractual relationship is established, specifying the scope of the representation.
Who can be a subscriber?
The subscriber of a certificate is the natural or legal person who owns the certificate associated with the web server that is linked with a private key.
What documentation do I need?
- An identity document
DNI, NIE or passport
- Power of attorney accrediting the representation in force
- You must also identify the category of the entity
- Private organization.
- Government entity.
- Commercial entity.
- Non-commercial entity.
How do I request it?
- Face-to-face identification

- Web conference identification
The Terms and Conditions contract is sent by email and the applicant and/or subscriber has to sign it with an advanced signature supported by a qualified certificate.
