How to request an electronic certificate

1. Select the certificate you want to purchase

From the “Shop” tab, select the certificate you need, fill in the information requested and add it to your cart. You can buy different types of certificates at the same time, but only one unit of each variant.

2. Complete the payment information

When you have finished selecting your certificate, go to the shopping cart and click on the “Checkout” button. You will immediately be redirected to the checkout page.

Once there, fill in your billing details and, after reading and accepting the Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy, you will be redirected to the payment gateway. To complete the purchase you must fill in the fields and accept the transaction. 

3. Order confirmation

If the payment is successful you will be redirected back to our website where you will be able to see a summary of your order.

You will also receive a confirmation email with information on how to continue with the identification process in order to issue you with your electronic certificate.

Why do I need to identify myself?

The electronic certificate is used for the identification of natural and legal persons in telematic media. Thanks to them, it is possible to carry out numerous procedures online and even sign documents with all the legal guarantees. It is necessary to verify that the person to whom the certificate is being issued really is who they say they are to ensure that no one is going to impersonate your identity. Qualified Trust Service Providers have to comply with very strict regulations regarding the identification of certificate users in order to avoid fraud and bad practices.

4. Identification

Here we explain how we will carry out your identification according to the method you have chosen:


You will have to come to our offices located at Calle Alba, 15, 28043 – Madrid. We will send you a link to our calendar so that you can choose the date you prefer.

On that day you will have to bring your identity document and all the additional documentation required for the issuance of the certificate you have requested. 

What documentation do I have to provide for the issuance?

Qualified signature

To use this method of identification, it is mandatory to have a qualified certificate valid at the time of signing.

We will email you our Terms and Conditions contract. Once you have read it and checked that all the details are correct, you must send it back to us by email electronically signed with an advanced signature supported by a qualified certificate. Besides, you must send the rest of the documentation that we will indicate to you.

How do I know if my signature is valid?


This method is only available for the issuance of Natural Person certificates.

If you have chosen this method, the identification will be done through the ZealiD mobile application, which you have to download and install on your phone.

If you are using iOS, you can download it by going to the App Store. 

If your device is running Android, download it from the Play Store.

Once installed, you have to register in the application by entering a series of data (ID card, bank details, address, proof of life…). This registration will complete the first step of identification. 

When you finish validating your identity in the app, go to the following link in your computer (you will need the ZealiD app so you need to use another device): http://qr.eadtrust.eu 

A screen will open with a QR code that you must scan with the ZealiD app. If you try using your phone’s scanner it will not work.

Next, a new code will appear that must also be scanned. On the screen of your mobile phone the “Certificate Issuing Service” contract with EADTrust will open. 

Read it carefully. At the end of the document you will find the button “Sign document”. If you agree with the conditions, click on it, so that the contract will be electronically signed.

Why do I have to register with ZealiD?

ZealiD is a Swedish company that performs remote identification. By registering in their app, you sign our terms and conditions contract with a qualified signature that allows us to legitimately identify you in compliance with the requirements of the eIDAS Regulation on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market.

5. Issuance and dispatch of the certificate

Once we have identified you correctly, we will proceed to issue the qualified certificate you have requested. We will send it to you by email to the address you gave us when you placed your order.

The certificate will be contained in a password-encrypted zip file to ensure security in case of any problems.

6. Password

Once we have issued the certificate, we will send you the key of the encrypted zip file by SMS to the mobile phone number you specified in the application. It is very important that you have unique control of the mobile phone to guarantee the security of the certificate.

The password of the certificate’s private key, the one you will use to identify yourself, is the one you indicated in the application.

7. Acknowledgement of receipt

Once you have received the certificate and the SMS with the ZIP file key, you must confirm its reception and correct functioning. EADTrust keeps the passwords of the compressed files for 24 hours, therefore, if you do not confirm the reception of the key we will not be able to help you to recover it after that period.
